be your running mate? lol

From my Brother (14 May 02):
You are a freak.
You VB (vice-brother)

From my Mother (14 May 02):
$50 BILLION ANNUALLY FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION
Public transportation IS a necessity. On that we agree.
However, if our taxes are paying for it, it should be a "free" system to
use, aside from the $50 billion in taxes we will pay. For your plans,
have you considered where your commuter rails will go? Las Vegas
and Nevada are considering high-speed rails between the two states.
Are you in MA willing to contribute to the cost of this through your taxes?
Have you thought about having public transportation within walking distance
of EVERY street in EVERY city and town in the country in order to get to
the larger networks of trains and commuter buses and air travel?
Have you considered that with this massive system of travel, Americans
would once-again be relegated to working, shopping, procreating, and living
within their communities for generations to come and the economic impact
this would have in a country where goods are easily accessed because of
the automobile? Have you considered that the already existing suburban
sprawl (ie, lack of space for public projects) means eminent domain will
mean that people will lose their homes for this public transport infrastructure?
Have you considered that growing populations cause "suburban
sprawl" (I could do a whole discussion on this alone) and not the infrastructure?
And speaking of quality of life, have you considered that when my grandmother
was a girl at the end of the 19th centure, life expectancy was in the 50s
and it is now in the high 70s? Doesnt that indicate that the quality
of life has improved in this country, despite pollution, global warming,
food additives, cancer-causing ingredients, artificial sugar, red M&Ms,
radon, lead paint, mold, asbestos, AIDS and the Ebola virus, MacDonalds
and spray starch? One way to improve the quality of living and degenerating
morals is for parents to regain control of their children, demand that
public schools do what theyre supposed to do, demand that feminists stop
saying that condoms are as good as abstinence, and shut off the TV and
stop letting the media control our thoughts and actions!
$2.00 PER GALLON GASOLINE TAX INCREASE
The taxes we pay on our gasoline is SUPPOSED to pay for road and
bridge maintenance and construction. Perhaps you should do an investigation
into where it actually goes. Speaking of taxes, check your utility
bills. Ever notice odd taxes on them? Youre being taxed without
even being aware of it. For example, here in LV, we have a utility
bill tax that actually goes to the schools. This is in addition to
what we already pay towards schools from our property taxes. I think
determining that your gas taxes dont pay for what theyre supposed to pay
for would be a far better, more constructive effort.
SINGLE-PAYER NATIONALIZED MEDICAL CARE
Which medical coverage is offered by which company is called a
free market system. Competition is good. While it may seem
ideal to have a single payer nationalized medical system (ie, socialism),
you would have to be content to go to the doctor they tell you to go to,
take the generic medications they tell you to take (and buy it from where
they say to buy it), wait maybe a year for standard care, deal with underpaid
and overworked (hence unmotivated) doctors, etc. Check out Canadas
and Great Britains socialized medical care. Youll soon learn why
so many Europeans and Canadians come to the States for medical care.
PS. Who's going to pay for all this??
MASSIVE SIMPLIFICATION OF FEDERAL TAX CODE
On this we agree. Id even go so far as to eliminate having
to file in April. Take the money and leave me alone!
AUTOMATIC RECOGNITION OF UNIQUE 20th CENTURY POPULAR CULTURE ICONS
AS NATIONAL HISTORIC LANDMARKS
I agree! And we should make sure that Wal-Mart be declared
national historic landmarks.
CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT TO PRIVACY FOR ALL U.S. CITIZENS
I agree! Now all you have to do is figure out how to negate
and void all the information that is currently out there. This would
eliminate phone soliciting, too!

From my Executive In Charge of Photocopying (15 May 02):
These are fascinating platforms ... can't wait 'til 2004.
You ARE number
one ... in my loins.
-
From a Musician (15 May 02):
-
From an Expectant Mother (17 May 02):
You get my vote! Just don't invite me to any fancy shmancy fund-raising
dinners... even Mitt Romney is sending me stuff. Why I'm on his
list, I
don't know.
-
From a Reliable Source (23 May 02):
I wish to congratulate you on your candidacy. Again I must
apologize for our absence at your campain kick off (DEN'S ASS) bbq as we
had other commitments (anniversary dinner). Please send me an address
to which we may send contributions - although I don't think I can send
loose change via mail...? Please be assured you have our vote.
There is one concern though. Are you sitting down? Good.
I have shall we say a certain 'file' on your secretary in charge of Photocopying.
This file contains information that may be present an embarrasing situation
for you in the future - IF somehow it is leaked to the press. We
shall have to meet to discuss this but suffice it to say he may have to
be removed from your staff. He is a TROUBLEMAKER. WATCH YOUR
BACK - ESPECIALLY THE LOWER PARTS OF YOUR BACK. HE IS EVIL.
BTW, great campaign site. Good Luck

From a Brit (23 May 02):
You seem to be standing on a very Anglo/European ticket:
Gas $5.60/gal in the UK, National Health Service funded from
National
Insurance, Data protection laws for privacy of personal information,
lots of public trains (none of which are however safe enough to
travel on).
Looks good, you have my vote: Obviously you will also be
introducing an
international voting scheme, where anyone in the world who is interested
can vote for the president. At least that way you wouldn't
need to
worry about Florida's lack of fingers and toes!
I am not quite sure I can believe: 'Beholden to NO special interests!'.
How can we be sure that once in power you aren't going to
liberalise
the model railway industry and give them unfair tax breaks!
